Industry/Application: Municipal - Town of Angle Lake - Process Equipment for Water Supply, Purification, and Delivery
Description: Municipal water districts often purchase water from larger water suppliers. In addition, they often own their own water wells located throughout their district so they can generate their own water supply on a smaller scale. This water well and pump station at Angle Lake is utilized to supply, purify, and distribute drinking water within the local area surrounding the well and pumping station.
The electrical and control system for this application includes a prime power source at 12.47KV, a Medium Voltage (MV) transformer, a 480V Motor Control Center (MCC), a chlorination system, instrumentation, and a Remote Telemetry Unit (RTU).
Our role in this project involved upgrade of the medium voltage electrical distribution system and MCC to make provisions for a Standby Emergency Generator and a new deep well pump. Our deliverables consisted of stamped drawings and specification that described the required site
improvements.
