Industry/Application: Municipal - Town of Hamilton - Process Equipment for Water Supply, Purification, and Delivery
Description: The site shown is a municipal water supply for the town of Hamilton. The site includes a water storage tank, a stream remediation tank, an evaporation pond, an electrical and control building with water filter and chlorination equipment, and a process control system with related instrumentation. The system pumps water from the water table, stores it in the water storage tank, and gravity feeds it to Hamilton. The water is filtered and chlorinated in the process. Water in the storage tank is circulated automatically and the filter is backwashed periodically.
The system is PLC controlled and is operated from the Human Machine Interface (HMI). In addition, the system includes a telemetry system that autodials the maintenance operator in the event of a system fault.
Our role in the project involved designing, programming, and fabricating the electrical and control system and performing start up testing of the completed system.
