Industry/Application: Marine - Process Equipment for Storm-water Collection, Storage, and Discharge
Description: This skid assembly and related electrical and control panel is part of a storm water collection, storage, and discharge system for a marine shipyard application. The skid included a pair of progressive cavity pumps rated at ~ 350 GPM each, a pair of variable speed AC induction motors, in-process flow meters, motorized valves, a UL508A electrical and control panel with PLC and VFD’s, and related piping and flanges.
Our role in this project involved design, programming, fabrication, and testing of the completed electrical and control system, and fabrication of the entire skid assembly. In addition, we were responsible for final testing of the completed storm water system. A follow on task involved design of the electrical system for a simple shed to protect the skid and control system from tampering and inclimate weather.
